Kenyan man narrates his marital woes - Kuoa Bibi Slay Queen Ni Shida! Claims he is forced to cook, clean and handle household chores (PHOTOs)

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 - A Kenyan man has opened up about his marital struggles, claiming that he single-handedly pays the household bills while also handling several domestic responsibilities.

In an emotional post, the man questioned how long a person should tolerate difficulties in marriage and how many times couples should forgive each other, saying he was considering speaking out about his situation for what could be the last time.

He listed his family's monthly expenses at approximately KSh77,000, including KSh20,000 for rent, KSh15,000 for food, KSh5,000 for electricity, KSh2,000 for water, school fees, clothing and other basic needs.

He said he works in the informal sector, earning no more than KSh30,000 monthly, but supplements his income through an omena business and various online jobs.

He also claimed to have given his wife a small business to earn money for her personal needs.

Despite shouldering the expenses, the man claimed he does not feel appreciated at home and accused his wife of neglecting household responsibilities.

He narrated how their former househelp recently left to join college, leaving him and his younger brother to prepare meals.

He alleged that his wife spends much of her time watching videos in the bedroom and sometimes fails to join them even after food has been prepared.

The man also claimed that his wife has repeatedly threatened that she does not have to live with him, allegedly telling him that other men are waiting to get into her inbox.

In one incident, he said an argument erupted after his wife complained that the kitchen was dirty and questioned why he could cook using the cooking pots but failed to scrub them with steel wool.

He claimed that when he declined to scrub the sufurias, his wife threatened to use a hammer to punch holes in them.

The man said he loves his children dearly but does not want to remain in a marriage where he feels disrespected and unappreciated.

He maintained that he was not seeking sympathy but simply wanted to share his experience.
