Wednesday, November 04, 2026 - Content creator Ema Kalekye has broken her silence on speculation linking her romantically to rapper King Kaka following their recent playful exchanges on social media.
Ema dismissed the dating rumours, insisting that social
media users had read too much into an ordinary interaction that had nothing to
do with romance.
In a statement shared on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, she
explained that her interaction with the rapper stemmed from reposting his new
love song and should not be interpreted as a romantic gesture.
“Just to clear the air, I think this is being blown out of
proportion. It was simply a song repost, nothing more,” she stated.
She further urged fans to stop creating narratives around
every interaction between public figures.
“Please stop creating stories and attaching meanings where
none exist.
“Not every social media interaction needs a narrative. Let’s
be respectful,” she added.
The speculation erupted after King Kaka shared a video
featuring Ema vibing to his new love song, prompting fans to wonder whether the
rapper was introducing a new romantic interest.
Curiosity intensified after the two exchanged playful
remarks, with King Kaka referring to Ema as “Morio wa mine”, loosely translated
as my person or friend.
Ema responded, “Unanipa nini morio?” (What are you giving
me, my guy?), prompting the rapper to reply, “Umeanza kusahau” (You have
started forgetting).
Ema later responded, “Wa mie” (Mine), further fuelling
speculation.
King Kaka has attracted renewed attention over his love life
following his 2024 separation from media personality Nana Owiti, with whom he
shares two children.
