Crocodile Tears! Senator KAMAU MURANGO accused of fraudulently transferring his late uncle’s land even as he mourns him on social media - Couldn’t see each other eye to eye

Thursday, September 24, 2026 - Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango has been accused of putting on a public show of mourning his late uncle while being embroiled in a bitter land dispute with him before his death.

In a post circulating on social media, Murango is accused of mourning his uncle loudly online, even pinning a lengthy Facebook post detailing how the deceased brought him up, educated him, and taught him good morals.

However, it’s claimed that he and his late uncle could not see eye to eye, even during the deceased’s final days.

Reports indicate Murango’s late uncle had entrusted him with documents, including his ID and PIN certificate, after asking him to facilitate the transfer of a parcel of land in Nyangati.

Murango fraudulently transferred the Nyangati property into his own name, leaving his uncle unable to have the land where his mother, Murango’s maternal grandmother, was buried.

It is further alleged that the deceased had wanted to be buried on the same parcel of land next to his mother, but the dispute over the title deed made this impossible.

It’s also alleged that Murango did not visit his uncle at Karira Hospital during his illness and had not visited his home in Ruririri village to mourn with friends and other family members.
