Governor NATEMBEYA’s aides arrested after being linked to criminal activities - Crude weapons found in their possession (PHOTOs)



Tuesday, May 5, 2026 - Law enforcement officers in Trans Nzoia County have apprehended two suspects over alleged involvement in organised criminal activities, recovering weapons in the process following coordinated operations by security teams.

Acting on intelligence, police officers from Kitale Police Station joined forces with officers from DCI Headquarters and executed a coordinated raid in Chebarus and Kibomet areas of Trans Nzoia West Sub-County, leading to the arrest of Dickson Wamocho and Frank Kuyala.

The search yielded a military-style tactical uniform, two pairs of combat boots, a sword, metal rods, and several mobile phones, all suspected to have been used in criminal activities.

The suspects, who are said to be Governor Natembeya’s aides, are in lawful custody undergoing processing pending arraignment by authorities.

All seized items have been secured as exhibits as investigations continue.
