presiding over a burial ceremony following a disagreement with the deceased’s
family over church protocol.
In a video that has since gone viral, the priest is seen
engaged in a heated exchange with several family members moments before the
burial rites were to proceed.
The disagreement reportedly stemmed from issues surrounding
funeral procedures and adherence to Catholic doctrines.
During the tense confrontation, the priest is heard
threatening to abandon the ceremony if the family failed to follow the
laid-down protocol.
Tension filled the air, with many unsure about what would
happen next.
True to his warning, the priest eventually walked away and
was seen heading to his car, leaving confused mourners and family members
stranded mid-ceremony.
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions on social
media.
While some defended the priest, saying church rules must be
respected, others criticised him for what they termed as being rigid and
insensitive during a grieving moment.
