Tuesday, December 23,
2025 - A new survey by TIFA Research has revealed the Orange Democratic
Movement (ODM) as the most popular political party in Kenya, with 20 percent
support nationwide.
The report, released on Tuesday, December 23rd,
places the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in second position at 16
percent.
Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party ranks third
with 11 percent, while the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), associated with
former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has dropped to 6 percent.
Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party follows in fifth place with 4
percent support.
According to TIFA, ODM’s support rose from 13 percent in
September to 20 percent in November, while UDA maintained its 16 percent
rating.
Jubilee showed notable growth, climbing from 3 percent to 11
percent, while DCP declined from 9 percent to 6 percent.
The report highlighted that support for ODM and UDA has
declined compared to 2022 levels, with undecided voters or those without party
preference now forming the largest segment of the electorate.
“No party currently commands a decisive or stable base, and
voter loyalty remains fluid,” TIFA stated.
The survey also revealed that 50 percent of Kenyans expect
ODM to exit the broad‑based Government and join the opposition, while 30
percent believe it should remain.
Another 20 percent remain uncertain.
Conducted between November 10th and 17th
across all 47 counties, the survey sampled 2,053 adults aged 18 and above.
The findings come shortly after TIFA reported that support
for the broad‑based Government has doubled in six months, rising from 22
percent in May to 44 percent in November, while opposition has dropped to 48
percent - its lowest level in recent surveys.
