2025 - Members of the public are alerted to a concerning trend
involving two individuals accused of defrauding unsuspecting victims across
several areas, including Outer Ring Road, Buruburu, Mowlem, Umoja and other
parts of Nairobi.
The pair allegedly approached people on the roadside while posing
as Prophets
offering prayers and claiming to foresee personal problems.
During these encounters, they reportedly performed brief
“rituals” through which victims were duped and dispossessed of
their belongings, including mobile phones, with some victims
later found in a disoriented or unconscious state.
The two suspects have since been arrested
and are currently in custody at Mowlem Police Station as
investigations continue.
