3, 2025 - Kenyan Mugithi star Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh,
posted a cryptic message on social media following serious allegations of
assault leveled against him by a Kenyan-American woman, identified as M.R.W. in
court documents.
The woman claims that on November 28th, 2021,
during Samidoh’s U.S music tour, he lured her to an Airbnb in Overland Park,
Kansas, and “ took advantage of her’’ despite her protests.
According to court filings, M.R.W. stated, “I resisted and
pleaded with him to stop, but he mocked my protestations, ignored my pleas, and
without my consent whatsoever committed the offence”
The lawsuit, filed at the Milimani High Court in Nairobi,
not only targets Samidoh but also names the Inspector General of Police, the
Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the Director of Public Prosecutions,
the Attorney General, and the Witness Protection Agency for allegedly failing
to act on her complaint.
M.R.W. is seeking urgent court orders to secure evidence,
bar Samidoh from contacting her, and provide witness protection, citing fears
of harassment and intimidation.
In response to the allegations, Samidoh took to his social
media platforms with a cryptic post that reads: “Spine that bends to threats will never stand tall in freedom.”
Many interpret it as a subtle jab at the accusations, possibly suggesting that he perceives the claims as an attempt to intimidate him because of his political stand.
