This culture of mtu wetu is very strong in Kenya: from politics, public service, parastatals, NGOs, churches, etc. Very few people can look beyond their ethnic communities when appointing or recruiting staff. And the original 'sin' began at independence. Am yet to see a new breed of leaders who can make a break with the present and past
