Tuesday, March 05, 2024 – British rapper, Marcel Somerville has reportedly unfollowed his wife Rebecca Vieira on Instagram after she made a grovelling public apology to him for allegedly cheating.
The couple's marriage has been called into question in
recent days after reports emerged that Rebecca had been sending flirty
texts to US rapper Slim Jxmmi.
Love Island star Marcel, 38, who tied the knot with the
model in August 2022, has 'moved out of their family home' and deleted all
traces of her on social media.
On Saturday, Rebecca made a post apologising for
'embarrassing' her husband and insisting 'no one could ever compare' to him.
It seems the apology didn't do any justice, with The Sun reporting that not only has Marcel unfollowed his wife on Instagram but deleted recent pictures of them together.
In contrast, Rebecca's latest post, shared on Saturday, is
with Marcel and captioned: 'you.. irrevocably you, undoubtedly you, until my
last breath.'
Rebecca, who has a son Roman, three, with Marcel, admitted
to making a 'huge mistake' in a public letter of apology to her husband.
She wrote on Instagram on Saturday: 'By now most of you
would have seen what's going on, I've made a huge mistake, I've embarrassed not
only my husband but myself and both our families.
'My actions were foolish and have hurt so many people around
us but most importantly my husband.
'I've said a lot of things that I shouldn't have and it was
stupid of me so I won't sit here and justify my actions, those decisions should
have never been made.
'I want to publicly apologise to my Marcel, just as loudly as the rest of the noise. For all the hurt, embarrassment and pain I have put him through there is nothing and no one in the world that comes before you and our family. No one could ever compare.'
Rebecca followed up the apology with a picture of their gold
wedding rings which had the engravement: 'Always and forever'.
The following day, Marcel returned to Instagram to share his
first post in weeks.
He penned: 'God has a plan for you. God has a plan for your
life.
'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They
are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'
(Jeremiah 29:11).'
Sources close to the Blazin' Squad singer claimed this week
the mother-of-one had been 'sending messages to rapper Slim Jxmmi' behind his
back.
Slim's ex-girlfriend, who goes by the name KD, accused
Rebecca of sharing intimate messages with Slim in now-deleted Instagram posts,
according to The Mirror.
Speaking to MailOnline, KD claimed Rebecca texted the rapper
after they temporarily separated in January.
She said: 'I broke up with him for about two weeks last
month. She [Rebecca] saw it on social media and he said that's when she
contacted him.
'They used to see each other so that's why she reached out,
to try and rekindle what they had.'
A source told The Mirror: 'Marcel is absolutely devastated.
Rebecca was his life and he’d changed so many things about his lifestyle to
make her happy. Everything he did, everything he worked for was for his wife
and his son.
'The poor guy feels like he’s in a nightmare and he keeps
hoping he’ll wake up. For him to know that Rebecca was telling another man she
loves him, and then spent Valentine's Day with him has completely broken him.
'He doesn’t know what he’s going to do now but he’s moved
out of the family home and is living with friends at the moment.'
According to the publication, the deleted screenshots that
KD posted read: 'Some men have to watch who they marry and lie down with too.
'Y'all marry and settle down for the money and stability.'
She added: 'Cheating on your husband with my son's dad is
crazy...especially after being in my DMs trying to link with me and be cool.
Nasty work.'
