‘Sharp Boys’! Two Kalenjin men arrested for impersonating a senior government official and conning unsuspecting members of the public (PHOTOs)


Sunday, October 4, 2026 - Detectives have apprehended two individuals accused of impersonating a senior government official and conning unsuspecting members of the public out of their hard-earned money.

Detectives arrested the suspects, Geoffrey Kipngetich Ngeno and Kipkurui Peter Tonui, in Narok Town while they were travelling in a black Toyota Prado with registration number KDZ 988C.

Detectives also seized multiple mobile phones believed to have been used in the scam from the suspects, which are now part of the ongoing investigation.

The duo remains in custody as detectives complete investigations ahead of their arraignment.
