The controversy erupted after a netizen leaked what was
alleged to be the project’s expenditure breakdown, sparking outrage among
Kenyans online.

Netizens have since called on the Ethics and Anti‑Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate the matter, terming it blatant misuse of taxpayers’ money.
