Wednesday, January 21, 2026 - Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar
Sudi, has dismissed allegations by Democracy for Citizens Party
(DCP) Deputy Leader, Cleophas Malala, that Suna East MP, Junet Mohamed,
secretly collaborated with President William Ruto during the 2022 General
Elections.
In a video statement released on Wednesday, January 21st,
Sudi defended Junet, accusing Malala of spreading falsehoods and engaging in
what he termed as “con acts.”
“Malala, my brother, stop these con acts. Stop saying that
Junet used to visit William Ruto at night,” Sudi said.
The Kapseret legislator vouched for Junet’s loyalty to Raila
Odinga, citing their long-standing friendship despite political differences.
“If there is someone who hated Ruto, and I have known Junet
for a long time, he has been my friend even when he was on the other side,”
Sudi remarked.
He further warned Malala against making unsubstantiated
claims, suggesting such behavior had contributed to his political setbacks.
“Malala, you need to stop with these lies. These con ways
are what pushed you home.”
“Now I’m not even sure where you and your DCP buddy are
headed,” he added.
Sudi also cautioned Malala against meddling in internal ODM
affairs, particularly those involving Raila Odinga’s political family.
“Leave Raila Odinga’s family alone. Let them fight among
themselves. You’re not the one to sort that out. But keep Junet out of it,” he
concluded.
His remarks followed Malala’s sensational claims on Tuesday,
January 20th, alleging that Junet secretly met Ruto at night to
provide insider information about ODM’s operations and grassroots strategies.
Malala further claimed that Junet supplied UDA with
confidential details about ODM agents across the country ahead of the hotly
contested 2022 polls where Ruto beat Raila by a slim margin.
The allegations come amid heightened tensions within ODM,
with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna recently accusing Junet of misappropriating
funds meant for election agents.
