Thursday, December 11, 2025 - Her Majesty Queen Mary of Denmark’s tour of the Dandora landfill in Nairobi has stirred mixed reactions among Kenyans.
The visit, part of a Danida-backed initiative on waste
management and green jobs, highlighted Kenya’s push for climate action but also
drew debate over whether showcasing the dumpsite was good for the country’s
image.
Queen Mary was accompanied by Tourism Rebecca Miano.
