Thursday, November 27, 2025 - There was drama in Mbeere North after former Attorney General Justin Muturi nearly engaged in a fistfight with a resident moments after casting his vote during the by-elections.
The confrontation occurred on Thursday, November 27th,
2025, near Siakago Social Hall.
In the video, a visibly furious Muturi is seen confronting
the young man after he allegedly tried to throw dust into his eyes.
Earlier, Muturi had ejected an agent representing United
Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate, Leonard Wa Muthende, accusing him of
flouting election rules by wearing yellow clothing - one of the party’s (UDA) official colours.
Muturi argued that displaying party colours within a polling
station is prohibited.
The incident added to tensions already witnessed across
several by-election areas, where chaos and violence were reported.
Many Kenyans have expressed concern that the unrest could be a troubling rehearsal for the 2027 General Elections.
