Tuesday, November 11, 2025 - President William Ruto’s influential Personal Assistant, Farouk Kibet, has once again stirred online debate after he painted a cattle dip in Malava, Kakamega County and boldly inscribed his name on it.
Viral photos from the scene show the phrase “Sir Farouk Kibet” neatly written
across a freshly painted wall, a move that has drawn both praise and criticism
from Kenyans on social media.
While some lauded him for getting involved in grassroots development activities,
others questioned the motives behind
personalizing a public facility with his name.
Farouk, a key figure
in President Ruto’s inner circle and one of his most trusted political
strategists, has been camping in Malava to campaign for the UDA candidate in the upcoming Malava parliamentary by-election.
