Tuesday, November 11, 2025 - A tense scene unfolded in Tetu Constituency when Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Wandeto, was chased away by angry residents during a visit to his constituency.
A
video circulating on social media shows the MP’s driver making a sharp U-turn on the highway and speeding off as
locals confronted the legislator.
In
the footage, the crowd can be heard chanting “Ghasia takataka wewe!”, expressing their frustration.
Sources
say the residents’ grievances stem from perceived underperformance and unmet promises by the MP.
The incident has sparked discussions online about whether the political dynamics in Tetu are shifting, especially since Wandeto is known to be a close ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
