Tuesday, September 16, 2025 - Chaos erupted in Kenol after Maragua MP, Mary Wamaua, a vocal ally of President William Ruto, was chased away by a hostile crowd of youths.
In a viral video, Wamaua is seen attempting to address
residents during a town hall meeting before the situation spiraled out of
control.
The youths heckled her relentlessly, shouting her down and
eventually forcing her to cut short her speech.
The ugly confrontation has stirred a heated debate online,
with many pointing to rising discontent on the ground despite Wamaua’s fierce
defense of the President.
Political analysts warn that as the 2027 elections draw
closer, such hostile receptions may serve as an early indicator of voter
frustration with leaders accused of prioritizing loyalty to State House over
service to the people.
