Friday, August 1, 2025 - President William Ruto is once again the butt of online jokes after photos emerged of him in a rare meeting with his predecessor, Uhuru Kenyatta-and Kenyans did not hold back.
The two leaders, who have had a frosty relationship since
their political fallout, were seen seated together during a meeting at State
House, but it was Uhuru’s calm
composure and effortless confidence that caught the attention of
hawk-eyed Kenyans.
“Ruto
looked like he came to report to the real boss,” one user quipped.
“Uhuru
didn’t even try… he just owned the room. That’s Presidential DNA,”
another wrote.
In the viral photos, Uhuru appeared relaxed while Ruto
looked a bit tensed.
The online reaction quickly turned savage, with many Kenyans joking that Uhuru, even in retirement, still commands more presence and respect than the sitting Head of State.
