Friday, August 15, 2025 - A multi-agency security team led by the Kisii County Police Commander carried out a successful raid in Jokivilla, Nyamataro area of Kisii Township, targeting suspected drug trafficking operations.
The operation led to the seizure of seventy-nine (79) brooms
of suspected cannabis sativa and rolling papers (Rizla).
Six suspects were arrested and are assisting police with
investigations ahead of their arraignment.
The main
suspect, already facing similar charges and currently out on a KSh 5 million
bond, managed to evade arrest.
Police have launched a manhunt to track him down and have vowed to intensify the crackdown on drug trafficking in the county.
