Monday, August 25, 2025 - Detectives in Kisauni Sub-County have arrested two dreaded suspects believed to be behind a string of violent robberies that have left residents living in fear.
The duo, identified as Chigamba Salim Dalu (35) and Hassan Ndegwa Nyota (27), were part of a five-man gang that staged
a midnight home invasion in
Majaoni, Kisauni.
According to investigators, the thugs stormed a homestead
under the cover of darkness, shooting the homeowner in the ribs before fleeing
with a 75-inch Hisense TV, two mobile
phones, and other valuables.
Tragically, the victim later succumbed to his injuries while
undergoing treatment at the Coast
General Hospital.
A swift manhunt was launched, with detectives relying on
forensic intelligence to track the suspects.
Chigamba was
the first to be nabbed after being flushed out of his hideout in Kinango, where he was found in
possession of one of the stolen mobile phones.
The operation then shifted to Mombasa town, where his accomplice Hassan was dramatically cornered and arrested.
The two suspects are currently in custody, undergoing
interrogation and processing ahead of arraignment.
Meanwhile, detectives have intensified the pursuit of the three remaining accomplices, vowing to smoke them out of their hideouts and bring them to justice.
