Man suspected of selling bhang to school children in Kawangware arrested after police got a tip-off (PHOTOs)



Friday, August 22, 2025 - Police officers attached to Muthangari Police Station arrested a man in Kawangware after he was found with two bags suspected to contain narcotics.

According to the National Police Service (NPS), officers on patrol in the Kawangware 56 area received a tip-off from a member of the public about a suspicious man loitering near the main gate of Gatina Primary School carrying two pieces of luggage.

The officers swiftly responded and, upon searching the bags, discovered 8kg of what is suspected to be cannabis sativa.

The suspect was immediately arrested and taken to Muthangari Police Station, where he was placed in custody pending arraignment in court.

It is believed that the suspect has been selling bhang to school children.

The NPS lauded members of the public for their cooperation, reiterating its commitment to the fight against narcotics across the country.
