Friday, August 15, 2025 - A Gen Z employee has left social media buzzing after dramatically resigning from her job, telling the Operations Manager that even her parents never raised their voices at her.
In her resignation letter, which has since gone viral, she
boldly stated that she could not tolerate being shouted at, especially by
someone who is not even family.
“My parents never raised their voices at me, so getting
yelled at by my manager was a plot twist I didn’t sign up for,” read part of
the resignation letter.
While some netizens applauded her confidence and
self-respect, others accused her of lacking resilience and professionalism,
saying the workplace often demands a thick skin.
The incident has fueled fresh conversations about the clash
between traditional management styles and Gen Z’s demand for respectful,
emotionally safe work environments.
One thing’s for sure, this Gen Z worker is not losing sleep over her decision.
