Tuesday, July 8, 2025 - Drama unfolded during the Saba Saba protests after an innocent motorist narrowly escaped a violent mob attack after being mistaken for a member of the elite police “killer squad.”
In a dramatic video, a heavily tinted black Subaru is seen
trapped in a chaotic scene, surrounded by angry protesters who begin pelting
the car with stones and attempting to pull the driver out.
The man had been trying to navigate through a road partially
blocked by demonstrators when the crowd suddenly turned on him, suspicious of
his vehicle, which closely resembles those commonly used by undercover security
units involved in controversial abductions and extrajudicial killings.
The visibly shaken motorist was eventually rescued by a few
brave onlookers who managed to calm the crowd long enough for him to speed off.
His vehicle, however, suffered significant damage, with a
broken windscreen and dents from the hail of stones.
