Nairobi, Kenya – What was supposed to be a smooth home relocation experience turned into a frustrating ordeal for one Kenyan resident after hiring Keja Move, a moving company operating in Nairobi and its environs.
According to the affected client, Keja Move was hired to help with household relocation — a service the company claims to offer with professionalism and care. However, during the move, the company allegedly damaged a suitcase and a washing machine, leaving the client with costly repairs and no compensation.
False Promises and No Follow-Up
After the incident, the client immediately reached out to the company to raise the issue. The management, reached via phone number 0711 931 212, which is registered under the name Brian Kaleli, acknowledged the complaint and promised to resolve the matter within seven days.
“They told me they would sort it out in a week. That was weeks ago. Since then, they’ve stopped responding to my calls and texts,” said the client, clearly frustrated by the lack of accountability.
“They Don’t Care About Clients’ Property”
The customer says what’s most concerning is not just the damage, but the complete disregard for after-service support. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, Keja Move has reportedly gone silent — ignoring messages, not returning calls, and making no effort to assess or compensate for the damaged items.
“It’s not just poor service — it’s disrespect. They handled my property carelessly, and when things broke, they just disappeared,” the client added.
A Warning to Other Kenyans
This incident highlights a growing concern about unregulated moving companies in Kenya that operate without proper systems for accountability, insurance, or customer care.
Consumers are being urged to:
• Research companies thoroughly before
hiring movers.
• Check for online reviews or ask for
referrals.
• Insist on contracts or service agreements
outlining liability for damages.
• Take photos of items before and after the
move in case of disputes.
Keja Move has yet to respond to any public allegations at the time of publishing this article. Calls placed to 0711931212 have gone unanswered.
