Thursday, May 15, 2025 - Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has demanded the immediate resignation of President William Ruto, accusing him of being incompetent and unfit to lead the country.
Speaking during an interview on Spice FM on Thursday
morning, Muturi, who also served as Attorney General, said the President had
failed to deliver on his campaign promises and lost the trust of many Kenyans.
"I would advise William Ruto to do the honourable
thing, resign.”
“You are unfit to be in that office; you have become an
incorrigible liar," Muturi said.
He further accused the Head of State of surrounding himself
with ‘praise singers’ who shield him from the true state of the country.
"He no longer hears the voices of ordinary
Kenyans," he added.
Muturi also urged Parliament to invoke Article 145 of the
Constitution and begin impeachment proceedings against the President, citing Ruto’s
recent admission to orchestrating the abduction and return of Kenyan youth.
"Who facilitated their return and under whose
authority?”
“Mr. President, you appear to have this information,"
Muturi charged.
The former CS, who was dismissed from office on March 26th
under unclear circumstances, has been a vocal critic of the current
administration, accusing it of violating the constitution.
