Good news as the U.S Government announces opportunities for Kenyans to work in America - See how to apply!



Wednesday, April 23, 2025 - If you’ve ever dreamed of relocating to the U.S, for work, the opportunity of a lifetime has just opened up!

The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi has announced a rare and exciting chance for Kenyans to teach Kiswahili in American institutions through the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Programme.

The program will run from 2026 to 2027 and is aimed at promoting global cultural and linguistic exchange by placing native speakers in U.S colleges and universities to teach their language, this time, Kiswahili takes center stage.

The initiative is also a fantastic opportunity for participants to develop professionally and experience the American life.

Kenyans interested in this exciting exchange must apply by May 16, 2025.

Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) before the program begins and meet language and academic eligibility criteria.

Preference will be given to those who have not previously received a Fulbright grant and those who studied primarily in U.S institutions.
