Wednesday, January 10, 2024 - Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has officially declared his 2027 presidential bid and said nothing will stop him from sending President William Ruto to his rural home in Sugoi, Eldoret.
During an interview with
one of the local dailies on Tuesday, Kalonzo said his journey to the house on
the hill is unstoppable and he wants to start campaigning as early as possible.
Kalonzo, who is also the
Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, said his party will be rebranded into a monumental national
outfit and a solid political party.
"We shall launch an all-out charm offensive
with a 'Mapema Ndio Best' slogan during our 'meet the people tour'"
Kalonzo said.
Following the rebranding, Kalonzo disclosed that
Wiper would accommodate all candidates seeking elective positions in the 2027
elections.
Kalonzo further maintained that he would not
support his Azimio la Umoja coalition partner, Raila Odinga, for the third
time.
