RAILA ODINGA and his orphans are still mourning the 2022 election loss – KIDERO says

Wednesday, January 17, 2024 - Former Nairobi County Governor, Dr. Evans Kidero, has said Azimio One Kenya Alliance leaders led by Raila Odinga are still lamenting over the 2022 election loss.

In an interview with K24 TV on Wednesday, Kidero said that Azimio leaders, especially from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, are going through the five stages of mourning and they are currently at the anger stage.

Kidero said the Orange party has been in the denial stage for long and he understands that they need time to heal.

"I know that they are still mourning the loss of elections in 2022.

"For the longest time they were living in denial they even said President William Ruto was not their president.

"When they move from the stage of denial they go to anger and we have seen the ODM brigade are very angry and what they are displaying in this discussion is anger," Kidero said

"They are going to be in a third stage of depression, then they'll go to the fourth stage of negotiation and then acceptance so let's allow them to tone down

The former County boss was reacting to remarks by ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna who on Tuesday stated that they still respect Chief Justice Martha Koome despite the outcome of the 2022 election petition ruling.
