Friday, January 12, 2024 - The feud between Kiambu County Governor, Kimani Wamatangi and National Assembly Majority leader, Kimani Ichungw'ah, intensified on Friday after Kiambu MCAs claimed the latter has been trying to bribe them to impeach the former.
Led by Kiambu County Assembly Majority Leader Godfrey Mucheke, the MCAs who spoke at Premier Bag grounds in
Juja during the issuance of bursary cheques to beneficiaries, insisted that Ichung’wa
has been seeking to undermine Wamatangi’s administration in a scheme to advance
his selfish political interests.
The MCAs, at the same time, took issue with
Ichung’wa for reportedly insulting and demeaning them after they failed to
support his bid to oust Wamatangi.
"We know he has planned to oust Wamatangi for him to successfully achieve his selfish political interests.
He has been
insulting and undermining MCAs who don’t dance to his tunes, but we will not be
cowed by his threats," Mucheke said.
