Wednesday, November 4, 2026 - Fresh details have emerged surrounding the tragic killing of Princess Vivian, a Form Four student from Ogero Village, Gem Constituency, Siaya County, who was murdered by her boyfriend just days before sitting her KCSE examinations.
Vivian, a student at Dhene
Secondary School, was reportedly killed in a suspected love triangle after a
disagreement with her boyfriend from Sakwa.
According to preliminary
accounts, the young man confronted her on Friday as she returned home from
school and demanded that she surrender a mobile phone he had previously bought
for her.
The disagreement was
reportedly triggered by claims that Vivian had posted another man, identified
as Mc Simba from Ramula, on Facebook using the phone.
The situation escalated when
the boyfriend followed her to her home and attacked her with a sharp object,
inflicting serious injuries to her neck and hand before leaving her on the
veranda.
Her parents, who were away at
the time, later returned home and found her lying in a pool of blood.
The tragedy has sparked
outrage and sorrow, particularly because Vivian was just two days away from
sitting her final examinations.
Vivian had posted her new man
on Facebook and mocked her jilted boyfriend before she was murdered.
The post read, “Ata ukue na pesa aje, you can't compete with the man I love.”
