Scandal rocks TV47 as news presenter KEVIN OKELLO is accused of preying on interns and junior staff members - Lazima Upande Kitanda

Sunday, October 25, 2026 - A news presenter at fast-rising TV47, owned by Cape Media Limited, has been accused of taking advantage of interns and junior staff members.

According to a source, the news anchor identified as Kevin Okello holds a senior position at the media station and is fond of demanding “mechi” from interns and junior journalists.

“He demands mechi in exchange for a news story, and when you turn down his advances, he shames you in front of everyone,” a source claimed.

The same source alleges that female journalists who turn down Okello’s advances are given a blackout for up to a month, leaving them frustrated.
