Wednesday, October 7, 2026 - Drama erupted at a burial ceremony after a Catholic priest arrived late and attempted to control the programme, denying some of the deceased’s friends an opportunity to make speeches as they paid their last respects.
The priest arrived midway through the ceremony and attempted to take the microphone from one of the speakers, triggering a brief tussle.
“Go
back to your seat,” the man was heard telling the priest, reminding him that he
had arrived late.
The
man insisted that the deceased man’s friends must be allowed to speak, noting
that they had stood with him after he fell ill.
The priest was eventually seen walking away and leaving the venue after his efforts to control the ceremony failed.
