Monday, September 7, 2026 - Tragedy has struck the family of a young Kalenjin lady identified as Cherotich, who reportedly lost her life in a road accident just a day after graduating from the Administration Police Training College.

Cherotich graduated from the college on September 4, 2026, after successfully completing nine months of intensive training.

Her graduation marked the culmination of months of hard work and dedication as she prepared to begin her career in the police force.

However, what should have been a joyous moment for Cherotich and her family turned into heartbreak just a day later.

On September 5, she reportedly lost her life in a road accident while travelling home to celebrate her achievement with her extended family.

Her death has left her family, friends and those who knew her mourning the tragic loss of a young woman whose promising journey had only just begun.

The heartbreaking turn of events has also left many reflecting on how quickly life can change, with Cherotich having celebrated one of the biggest achievements of her life only a day before the tragedy.
