SHOCK as MOSIRIA raises alarm over Nairobi woman’s missing kidney following fibroid surgery at a private Ruiru hospital

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has sounded the alarm over a disturbing case involving a woman who claims her kidney went missing after undergoing fibroid surgery.

In a statement shared on X>>> on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, Mosiria highlighted the woman’s ordeal and urged health authorities to urgently intervene.

“STOLEN KIDNEY EXPOSE!! This lady was suffering from fibroids.”

“After undergoing surgery, she developed severe swelling affecting her legs, head, and other parts of her body.”

“She visited several hospitals without getting a clear diagnosis,” he wrote.

According to Mosiria, her condition worsened until she sought care at Mbagathi Hospital where an ultrasound and CT scan allegedly revealed that her left kidney was missing.

Mosiria explained that the woman had first encountered a doctor on Inooro TV, where he spoke about treating fibroids and claimed to work at Maragua District Hospital.

After contacting him, she was directed to a private hospital in Ruiru instead of a Government facility.

It was after this procedure that her complications began, leading to the shocking revelation.

Mosiria has appealed to the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and the Ministry of Health to step in, provide treatment, and assist the woman with legal support.

The shocking allegations have ignited heated debate online, raising urgent questions about patient safety in Kenya’s healthcare system.
