Pastor KANYARI explains why he is still single, seven years after divorce with late singer BETTY BAYO and reveals his ideal woman - ‘Sipendi Watu Wanono’

Thursday, January 15, 2026 - Controversial Kenyan preacher, Prophet Victor Kanyari, has opened up about his single life following the end of his marriage to the late gospel singer, Betty Bayo.

Speaking in a candid interview with a local YouTuber, the controversial preacher revealed that despite being ready to marry again, he has not yet found a woman he truly connects with emotionally.

“Nilikuwa nioe, lakini sijapata mtu wa kuoa. Mapenzi ni roho wakati nilioa Betty Bayo, tulipatana na tukapendana, sasa mimi sijapata mtu wakupenda,” Kanyari said, recalling how his love story with Bayo blossomed naturally.

The Salvation Healing Ministries founder emphasized that real love goes beyond appearances, insisting that it must begin with a deep emotional bond.

“Siku nitapata mtu ajitokeze atoke Facebook, TikTok, akuje anitembelee roho zishikane tutaoana na mtaona harusi,” he added.

Kanyari also shared his personal preference, admitting he is drawn to petite women.

“Mimi siwezi sema taste yangu. I just like small people sipende watu wakubwa sana, mimi ni mnono so plus mnono mwenzangu itakuwa mission impossible,” he confessed.

Speaking during Bayo’s memorial service on November 16th, 2025, Kanyari explained why he has never remarried.

“The reason why I have never remarried is that I have never found a woman like Betty Bayo again.”

“The other women I meet are either crazy or lack the qualities I want in a life partner,” he said.

He further noted that women in his church do not meet his standards of emotional stability, intelligence and household management.

“I have never met a woman in this church who is mentally stable and whom I would consider marrying.”

“The women in this church are not of sound mind, and I know how to read character,” he added.

Kanyari stressed that his children, Dani and Sky Victor, remain his priority.

“I cannot take someone randomly to trouble my children or myself. I would rather stay alone. I will stay alone,” he shared.
