Wednesday, August 27, 2025 - There was drama in the streets after a thief who had reportedly snatched valuables from a foreigner was caught and cornered by members of the public.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspect had grabbed a phone
from the unsuspecting foreign national before attempting to flee on foot.
His luck, however, ran out when a group of vigilant wananchi
pursued him.
In a viral video making rounds on social media, the visibly
terrified suspect is seen surrounded by an angry mob, pleading for mercy.
The crowd eventually overpowered him and recovered the
stolen items, before handing him over to the police.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many
Kenyans applauding the swift action of bystanders in protecting visitors.
