Saturday, August 30, 2025 - Police in Nairobi have carried out a major crackdown on illicit liquor in Dandora, targeting a chang’aa den operating in the area.
During the raid, officers seized and destroyed over
5,000 litres of kangara at the site.
They also recovered six copper manufacturing coils and
three electric boilers, which have been retained as exhibits to aid
in further investigations.
According to the police, the owner of the illegal den
managed to escape and is currently on the run.
A manhunt has been launched, with authorities appealing to
members of the public to volunteer any information that may lead to the
suspect’s arrest by reporting to the nearest police station.
