Tuesday, June 17, 2025 - Furious protesters confronted a group of police officers accused of protecting hired goons who were reportedly causing destruction and intimidating peaceful demonstrators in Nairobi CBD.
The protesters shouted down the officers, accusing them of
siding with state-sponsored goons who had been unleashed to sabotage ongoing
protests in the city.
Overwhelmed by the angry crowd and fearing for their safety,
the police officers were seen retreating from the area, with some forced to
flee on foot as the protesters grew more aggressive in their demands for
justice and accountability.
