Shock as a man in UK tracks his stolen luxury Range Rover using hidden AirTag and finds it actively being driven in Tanzania (PHOTOs)

Wednesday, May 21, 2025 A UK-based man has taken to social media to share how he tracked his stolen high-end Range Rover from the UK to Tanzania using a hidden Apple AirTag.

The man revealed that the luxury vehicle was stolen from his driveway several months ago.

Fortunately, he had discreetly placed an AirTag inside the car, allowing him to monitor its movements remotely.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “My car was stolen off my driveway in the UK a few months ago. I’ve been watching its movements into the Med, through the Suez Canal, and into Tanzania via the Apple AirTag I hid in the car.”

“It’s now in its new home and comes back to this location daily.”

He added humorously, “I often wonder who’s driving it and if they’re also wearing my favourite hat I left in the back seat. M44 Size 9.”

Many luxury cars stolen in the UK and Europe are often trafficked to Africa, with Tanzania, Nigeria, and Kenya among the top destinations.
