Thursday, October 24, 2024 - Beauty mogul and Reality TV star, Kylie Jenner had shed some light on where she stands with Jordyn Woods her former best friend, and how the cheating scandal involving her sister’s then lover impacted their friendship.
Kylie and Jordyn first met as teenagers after being
introduced to each other by their mutual friend Jaden Smith. They became
inseparable ever since.
After being named Stormi's godmother, Jordyn even moved in
with Kylie in 2018 to help her adjust to motherhood.
But in February 2019, rumors began swirling around that
Khloé Kardashian's ex, Tristan Thompson, cheated on her with Jordyn at a house
party. While this wasn't the first time the basketball player was unfaithful to
Khloé, this particular infidelity claim hit a little harder because it involved
a close friend of the family, Kylie's best friend.
This scandal prompted Jordyn to speak out on the cheating
allegations on Red Table Talk, so she could share her side of the story.
Although showing sympathy for Khloé and the entire situation, Jordyn said she's
"not the reason" Khloé and Tristan's relationship ended.
“She doesn’t deserve this,
either,” Jordyn said of Khloé. “The last thing I wanted to do was be that
person. I’m no home-wrecker. I would never try to hurt someone’s home,
especially someone that I love.”
Many members from the Kardashian-Jenner family began sharing
their opinions on the situation, but Kylie remained silent about it for a long
time. Kylie was actually the last of the sisters to unfollow Jordyn on
Instagram and later, in 2021, she confirmed the demise of their friendship was
an "overnight thing."
Jordyn and Kylie weren't seen together in years, but all of
that changed when the two were spotted on an LA sushi date in July. They were
later seen during Paris Fashion Week, shopping in the French capital.
Well, in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Kylie gave
fans a little more insight into what it was like when she and Jordyn first
began distancing themselves and how it helped and hurt her.
“I was heartbroken,"
Kylie said.
"We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance."
Anytime something happened,
good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her. To lose that
person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much,
gained so much independence, and was there for myself."
It helped me grow up a little
bit, because we were so attached at the hip. I think that in order for us both
to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”
I, for one, am glad the
ladies were able to take time apart to grow individually, while still making
their way back to each other to nurture their friendship.
