Friday, June 21, 2024 - A video has emerged of former President Uhuru Kenyatta warning Kenyans about a growing youthful generation, which he termed a ticking time bomb.
Speaking at a function, Uhuru said that if the youthful
generation took the law into their own hands, it would be hard to control them.
"Let us not cheat ourselves, and the young generation is a big problem.
"How do we handle the young generation?
"This young generation you use and dump is a time bomb that no one will put off if it goes off.
"Our young people, if not properly handled, can be
a time bomb that can blow this country to pieces," Uhuru said.
Uhuru's past video has emerged after thousands of Gen Z
protesters took to the streets of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru to
protest against the Finance Bill 2024.
The youthful group has urged the government to withdraw the
punitive and retrogressive bill, claiming it will overburden Kenyans with
taxes.
