This is what KALONZO MUSYOKA has said after GACHAGUA vowed to file a petition seeking the removal of Justice ESTHER MAINA.

Wednesday, January 17, 2024 - Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has attacked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his recent remarks that he plans to file a petition against Justice Esther Maina.

Addressing the press on Tuesday, Kalonzo said he was waiting to see whether Chief Justice Martha Koome would receive Gachagua when he files a petition seeking the removal of Justice Esther Maina.

"He (Gachagua) said he was going to lead a protest.

"I want to see that because that will be the culmination of absurdity about the relationship between the Executive and the Judiciary.

"We are witnessing very absurd situations, and we must say enough is enough.

"Please leave the Judiciary alone," Kalonzo said.

The Wiper Democratic Movement party leader also dismissed claims that he was behind the recent anti-government protests organised by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

"Some people thought that when I wore my robes and took part in the LSK protest, I had organized that.

"These people have a larger life than I claim to.

"If I can marshal the whole of LSK to go and protest, then they better be very afraid," Kalonzo added.
