Wednesday, January 10, 2024 - Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said the Kamwene group, under the leadership of Narc Kenya chairperson Martha Karua, is dead on arrival.
During an interview with one of the local dailies, Kalonzo said that the group comprising Mount Kenya leaders from the Opposition coalition is a terrible political philosophy.
Kalonzo advised the group to drop the idea and work together as Azimio One Kenya Alliance.
"I don't want to pass judgment on that issue but have you heard of things like dead on arrival? This thing means individualism.
"It's a terrible political philosophy. I would advise my friends to leave it and we stick together in Azimio," Kalonzo said.
The former Vice President’s remarks come even as the Kamwene group insists they are strongly rooted in Azimio.
The group says that it is pushing for the unity of Mt Kenya to push for the regional interests of the Opposition outfit.
