Stop behaving like a village boy - Nairobi-based lawyer blasts GACHAGUA for attacking JUSTICE ESTHER MAINA

Tuesday, January 16, 2024 - An outspoken Nairobi-based lawyer has slammed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for petitioning the removal of High Court Judge Esther Maina over allegations of corruption.

On Sunday, Gachagua accused Maina of being part of a corrupt cartel in the Judiciary, sensationally claiming that she unfairly ruled against him in a graft case involving Sh 200 million.

But in an interview with one of the local dailies, lawyer Evans Ondieki equated Gachagua's public rants against a High Court Judge to childhood tantrums that do not befit a person of the calibre of the office he holds.

"Why should a deputy president react like a village boy? It justifies saying he came into office by mistake because he behaves rogue.

"There is no place for Gachagua in Kenya's leadership if this is how he will be.

"It looks like it was an accident for him to become deputy president because he is not doing justice to that office.

"As we deal with this accident that happened to us as Kenyans, the DP should change how he talks about and represents the three arms of government," Ondieki said.
