- Meru County Governor, Kawira Mwangaza, has spoken about the murder of Meru-based blogger, Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper.

Sniper disappeared on December 2, and his body was discovered on December 16th, 2023.

A postmortem examination done on the body revealed that he died after being strangled on the neck.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has already arrested six suspects in connection with Sniper’s murder and most of the suspects are linked to Governor Kawira Mwangaza

However, speaking on Sunday, Mwangaza denied any involvement in the murder and termed the allegations that she was involved in it as a political witch hunt.

“They have tried impeachment, destroying our reputation, court cases, attempts on our lives and failed, now they have come up with this”

Mwangaza also denied claims that her son was arrested by the police as widely reported in sections of the media.

“Those reporting on things they don’t know, some have said my son was arrested.”

“All my children are in church today.” She said
