Monday, January 15, 2024 – A Ghanaian man named Patrick Amenuvor attempted a "Stand-a-thon" to break the Guinness World Record for longest standing by an individual.
His intention was to stand in a place without sitting for 7
days, from January 14 to January 21, 2024.
However, he called off his GWR stand-a-thon attempt a few
hours after starting on January 14, 2024.
According to Patrick Amenuvor, he is calling off the GWR
attempt because he believes he has broken some rules provided by the Guinness
World Record.
He added: “At this point, I deem it fit to get back with my team to review our attempt so far and make sure to avoid any errors that may hinder my future attempt.”
Concluding his message, he thanked all his supporters and
Ghanaians for rallying behind him, adding that the attempt is a dream he is
passionate about fulfilling.
