RUTO’s friend WICKNELL CHIVAYO hosted a popular Zimbabwean Prophet notorious for performing fake miracles for a lavish dinner, days before the chopper crash (PHOTOs)

Thursday, October 1, 2026 - Controversial Zimbabwean businessman and Ruto’s friend Wicknell Chivayo treated popular Zimbabwean prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa to a lavish dinner at his palatial residence, days before he died in a chopper crash.

Chivayo shared photos of the dinner on his Instagram account, unaware that it would be the last meal he shared with the popular prophet.

Makandiwa has previously faced criticism over claims surrounding miracles performed at his church.

A while back, a businessman sued Prophet Makandiwa, alleging that the preacher had promised to cancel a multimillion-dollar debt through a miracle and encouraged him to “plant a seed.”

The businessman claimed that he ended up losing more money in the process.

Chivayo was among six people reportedly killed when a helicopter crashed in the Marondera rural district, east of Harare.
