Wednesday, August 12, 2026- As investigations into the death of Marya Mwende continue, new evidence has emerged suggesting that she had been subjecting her husband to physical and emotional abuse.

Mwende’s husband, Dr. Dennis Nyambane, a consultant surgeon at the Kiambu County Government, had reached out to a friend and fellow surgeon, opening up about his troubled marriage.

He had also reported to the police in May this year after his wife attacked him with a hammer.

Nyambane is now the prime suspect in his wife’s death after allegedly stabbing her with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute.
