Friday, August 7, 2026 - President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene, is reportedly off the market and is set to tie the knot with her Tanzanian fiancé in an invite-only traditional wedding ceremony scheduled for Saturday, August 8, at the Head of State’s farm in Kilgoris.

A save-the-date card confirming her traditional engagement ceremony has leaked online, sending social media into a frenzy.

The card bears the event title "Charlene's Koito ak Chaik," a phrase that translates to "engagement and farewell ceremony."

The date printed on the card is 8.8.26, pointing to this weekend.

It is now emerging that Charlene is set to formalize her union with her Tanzanian boyfriend, identified as Isaya Yunge.

Isaya, who was born on March 23, 1990, is an internet entrepreneur and motivational speaker.

He is known as the first African youth leader to speak at the G8 Summit in 2007.

In 2018, he was one of only two Tanzanians to receive the Queen’s Young Leader Award in recognition of his work on SomaApp.

This scholarship-matching mobile application has helped more than 7,000 young Africans access educational opportunities.

He co-founded the app, which enables African students to search for scholarships and connect with education opportunities across the continent.

It is believed that Isaya and Charlene have kept their relationship out of the public eye until now.
